Research has shown that transformation happens when we experience effective new approaches to life’s challenges. We see the most impactful changes occur when wellness supports and follow an experiential model of care.
This includes:
Play-Based Therapy, Emotion-Focused Couples/Family/Individual Therapy, Somatic-Based Therapy & Yoga-Based Therapy, Nature-Guided Therapy, Animal-Assisted Therapy & Relationship-Based Therapy.
What is Experiential Therapy? It is a therapeutic approach which guides participants in experiences through a variety of techniques to re-enact and re-experience patterns of thinking, feeling, behaving, and/or communicating. Once this occurs, the therapist gently guides participants to integrate & process the experience, and form more adaptive ways of relating and responding to those experiences in the future.

Are your fees covered by OHIP or Extended Health Benefits? Medical doctors and psychiatrists are the only counsellors that are covered by OHIP in Ontario. However, we are covered by most employee benefit packages which cover the services of a Registered Psychotherapist.
If you do not have third party insurance, services provided by Registered Psychotherapists are tax deductible under medical expenses on your annual tax return. Further information can be found on the CRA website listed under CRA: Authorized Medical Practitioners.
How many sessions will my child need? Some clients only require a minimal number of sessions and others may continue to work with their therapist over an extended period of time. The frequency of sessions as well as the period of time you participate in therapy can be discussed with your therapist.
Do I need a doctor’s referral? A doctor’s referral is not required to begin sessions with a registered psychotherapist.
Can I pay with credit card? We accept credit card, e-transfer and cash payments. Our Simple Practice software makes credit card payments simple.
Are you taking new, and do you have a waitlist? Most of our Therapists are taking new clients at the moment. Our waitlist for an initial consultation is 2-3 weeks in most cases.
Do you offer after-school, evening, and weekend sessions? We offer daytime, after-school, and limited evening and weekend (Saturday) sessions. Our evenings and weekends book up quickly, so the wait for daytime session spots is often less time.
Ready to learn more about how we can help your child? We offer a 20-minute consultation to allow you to connect with a member of a Therapist so that you can learn more about how we may be able to support your family’s goals.
